All vehicle rentals in Warrington are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting the vehicle. This document outlines the terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations for the rental period. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements for Vehicle Rental
- To rent a vehicle from our Warrington location, you must be at least 21 years old, with age restrictions varying depending on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional fees. A valid driving license appropriate for the vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. Valid payment information and a security deposit are also necessary. Please review the Rental Agreement for any specific conditions that may apply.
Booking and Payment Options
- Reservations can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Warrington office. To confirm your booking, a deposit may be necessary. Full payment along with a security deposit is generally required at the time of vehicle collection. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, ensuring secure transactions through trusted payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- Upon collecting your vehicle, it is important to conduct a comprehensive inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and must be signed by both parties. Please return the vehicle in the same condition as it was provided, barring normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged appropriately. Ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as when collected; refueling charges will apply if it is returned with less fuel. Should you anticipate a late return, please contact us as soon as possible, as late fees may apply. You will be responsible for any parking tickets, traffic violations, or associated charges incurred during the rental period, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Terms
- All rentals include basic third-party insurance. You can find comprehensive coverage details and excess amounts in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial liability, so it is beneficial to review these options thoroughly. You are liable for damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance is purchased. Any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is strictly prohibited. This includes racing, off-roading, or other risky driving practices. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized individuals to drive is forbidden. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. The vehicle must be used for its intended purpose only, adhering to passenger and weight limits. Driving outside the specified geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Violation of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Warrington will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our liability for any claim will not exceed the total rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
9. Local Legal Framework
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
10. Amendments to Terms
